Fremantle Festival is a community festival coordinated by the City of Fremantle.

The City of Fremantle is responsible for the general publicity and promotion of the festival as well as the printing and distribution of the festival program. The City also coordinates a number of free events within the festival. In 2007 these free events included Wardarnji Aboriginal Cultural Celebration, Lotterywest Street Parade & Carnival, and the Festival Square performance and Workshop program. more

In Febuary 2008 the time's ripe for the Fremantle Tomato Festival – kicking off from midday, there's plenty of free tastings and demonstrations on how to make the best tomato sauce and pasta aplenty throughout the afternoon. Fremantle Mayor Peter Tagliaferri will even be on hand to dish out the goods.
